Visamundi wins third place at IFTM Top Résa 2021
Travel tech startup Visamundi awarded bronze at IFTM Top Résa 2021’s startup contest, celebrated for streamlining visa processes via automation.
It was a true delight to reconnect in person rather than on screen! Among the 10 outstanding startups featured in the startup contest of IFTM – Top Résa 2021 in Paris (Porte de Versailles), Visamundi stood out to claim the 3rd place on the podium, just one rung below companies delivering equally impactful and positive solutions.
A huge congratulations to all participants, and especially those who surpassed us on the podium: WorkPackers, which offers remote work solutions, and WeGoGreenr, empowering greener vacations. This recognition from industry experts confirms our belief that technology can ease the burdens of travel and provide answers for tour operators still reeling from the pandemic.
The jurors’ trust validates a deep conviction: that innovation should be harnessed to remove the roadblocks in travel, allowing professionals to focus on their core business. Today, obstacles remain numerous, both for individuals and companies. One in two travel agents reports encountering concrete issues when applying for a visa on behalf of a client. Half struggle to reach consulates, a challenge compounded by the fact that 25% face further complications in communication with foreign administrations, and nearly a third cite the physical distance from consulates as a hindrance to their activity.
The enthusiasm our solution generated during the competition stems from its precise response to these pain points. By automating the invisible and managing complex paperwork, we’re giving the travel industry a breath of fresh air. This third-place finish spurs us on to keep refining our mission: turning administrative burden into a smooth and transparent process. We’re convinced the future of tourism depends on tools that eradicate administrative borders as effectively as our peers are tackling carbon footprints or rigid office setups.
