Discover the Ponant Islands Passport: A Guide to 15 Atlantic Gems

Unlock the beauty of Brittany’s and the Atlantic’s 15 most breathtaking islands with the Ponant Islands Passport, a unique initiative offering a 5-year travel planner and stamp-collecting adventure across preserved isles.

What if you could explore every last hidden treasure in the Ponant Islands while collecting unforgettable memories? I discovered the Ponant Islands Passport during a late-autumn trip to Groix—an initiative that turns your island-hopping dreams into reality.

This exclusive travel voucher, issued only on the participating islands, invites you to discover—and honor—15 protected Breton and Atlantic islands.

Ponant Islands Passport

Available at tourist offices, information points, and town halls across the islands, the Island Passport is valid for five years—plenty of time to plan repeat visits to these unspoiled destinations: Chausey Archipelago, Bréhat Island, Batz Island, Ouessant Island, Molène Island, Sein Island, Glénan Archipelago, Groix Island, Belle-Île-en-Mer, Houat Island, Hoëdic Island, Île aux Moines, Arz Island, Yeu Island, Aix Island.

What the Island Passport Includes

Inside you’ll find one page per island with essential facts: land area, distance from the mainland, year-round population, energy and water supply methods, and more. Arm yourself with background before you pack your bags.

After picking up your passport on-site, collect ink-stamp souvenirs at each island’s tourism office, information point, or town hall. Rapid stamp collectors may even win prizes.

The Association of the Ponant Islands: A Unique Mission

The initiative is led by the Association of the Ponant Islands (AIP), a body dedicated to finance, public services, land-use planning, agriculture, tourism, environment, and culture in order to secure a brighter future for these distinctive communities.

Recognized by public authorities as the islands’ preferred partner, the AIP safeguards natural heritage while supporting local economic development and sustainable job creation through its Savoir-Faire des Îles du Ponant label, which authenticates truly insular products and services. Winners of the label are at the forefront of the region’s resilient economy.

⚠️ Passports are available only in person; mail-order is not offered.
