Arrival cardThe Sundarbans mangroves, Cox's Bazar beach, the alleys of Old Dhaka: before discovering Bangladesh, every foreign traveller must present an arrival card to immigration. Since August 2026, Bangladeshi immigration has offered an electronic version, the E-Arrival Card, to be completed online before the trip. Free of charge, it comes in addition to the visa without replacing it and is valid for a single entry. Visamundi can prepare it, check that it is consistent with your visa and submit it for you.

The E-Arrival Card, Bangladesh's electronic arrival card
The card is completed online before the trip, in addition to the traditional paper card.
No government fee is charged for the arrival card, whatever your nationality.
A new card is required for each trip to Bangladesh.
Managed by Bangladeshi immigration (Special Branch, Ministry of Home Affairs), the E-Arrival Card allows the authorities to record the identity and movements of foreign travellers and to speed up checks at airports.
Once the card is submitted, you receive a PDF confirmation with a QR code summarising your information. Keep it on your smartphone and print a copy.

02 · Eligibility
Who must complete the E-Arrival Card?
The arrival card concerns all foreign travellers entering Bangladesh, whatever their age, nationality or type of visa. Group members travelling with you, children included, are also declared. Bangladeshi nationals are not concerned.
The E-Arrival Card does not replace a visa. French nationals must obtain a visa before leaving, from the Embassy of Bangladesh in Paris, or apply for a visa on arrival: the application is entered online before departure and the acknowledgement is presented to immigration. This visa is valid for a maximum of 30 days, for a single entry, and cannot be extended except in exceptional circumstances. You must also have at least USD 500 (in cash or by card) and a return ticket.

Information to prepare
- Valid passportValid for the entire duration of your stay. The name, number and date of birth must be entered exactly as they appear in the passport.
- Plane ticketFlight number, arrival date, country and city of departure.
- Visa or visa on arrivalNumber, category, single or multiple entry, issue and expiry dates and authorised length of stay.
- Address in BangladeshName of your hotel or address of your accommodation, with the district and thana.

05 · On arrival
After submission: confirmation and border control
On arrival, whether at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka or in Chattogram or Sylhet, present your passport, your visa and your E-Arrival Card confirmation to the immigration officer, who checks that the information matches. If you are travelling with a visa on arrival, go first to the dedicated counter with the acknowledgement of your online application.
The length of stay depends on your visa, not on the arrival card. To leave the country, a separate departure card is provided, the E-Departure Card.
