Arrival cardWhite-sand beaches, Dunn's River Falls and the Blue Mountains: before setting foot in Jamaica, one formality applies to every traveller, the C5 form. Since 1 September 2023, this immigration and customs declaration has been completed online, replacing the former paper arrival card. Free of charge, it concerns every passenger, children included, and can be submitted up to 30 days before arrival. Visamundi can prepare, check and submit your declaration for you.
01 · Key facts
The declaration is completed online, from a computer or a smartphone, with no need to travel anywhere.
No government fee is charged for the C5 form, whatever your nationality.
The form can be submitted up to 30 days before your arrival in Jamaica.

Managed by PICA (Passport, Immigration and Citizenship Agency) together with the Jamaica Customs Agency, the C5 form combines in a single procedure your immigration declaration (identity, passport, trip, accommodation) and your customs declaration.
Once the form is submitted, you immediately receive a confirmation by email with a reference number. Your declaration is linked to your passport: on arrival, you simply present your passport at the checkpoint.
02 · Eligibility
The rule is universal: all travellers entering Jamaica must complete the C5, whatever the purpose of their trip, whether they are tourists, business travellers, residents or Jamaican citizens returning home.
The requirement is individual: each passenger receives their own confirmation, including children and infants. The form asks you to list the family members travelling with you.
The C5 does not replace a visa and does not determine the length of your stay: that depends on your nationality. French nationals can stay up to 30 days without a visa for tourism or for a business trip without paid work. For a longer stay or another purpose, a visa must be requested from the Jamaican embassy. Nationalities subject to a visa requirement must obtain their visa in addition to the C5 form.

Durations stated by the Jamaican authorities (PICA). The length of stay granted remains at the discretion of the immigration officer on arrival.
03 · The process
The form starts with the verification of your email address: this is where you will receive your confirmation.
Visamundi handles it· €29 incl. VATSurname, given names, date of birth, sex and family members travelling with you, then home address, occupation, passport number and country of issue.
Address in Jamaica (hotel name or residential address), countries visited in the last 6 weeks, airline or vessel name, flight number, port of departure and travel date.
Holiday, visiting friends or relatives, business, transit, work or honeymoon, then length of stay in days and number of bags, including packages shipped separately.
A series of yes-or-no questions about the goods you are bringing into Jamaica: food and agricultural products, medicines, weapons, currency over USD 10,000, goods exceeding the duty-free allowance or intended for resale.

04 · Required documents
05 · On arrival

Once your declaration is approved, you immediately receive a confirmation email summarising your name, passport, arrival date and flight. Keep it on your smartphone or print it, in case you are asked for it.
At Sangster (Montego Bay) and Norman Manley (Kingston) international airports, travellers who completed the C5 in advance can use the immigration self-service kiosks: they scan their passport, get a receipt and go through more quickly. The C5 is also required at Ian Fleming Airport (Ocho Rios) and at seaports, as the form covers arrivals by air as well as by sea.
06 · Before you go
The C5 form has been mandatory since 1 September 2023 for all travellers entering Jamaica, including children and residents. Free of charge, it combines the immigration declaration and the customs declaration, can be submitted up to 30 days before arrival and is valid for a single entry. It does not replace a visa: French nationals can stay 30 days without a visa for tourism.
With this formality out of the way, it's time to enjoy the trip: Seven Mile Beach in Negril, Dunn's River Falls, the Blue Mountains and the Bob Marley Museum in Kingston are waiting for you.
