French Polynesia opens its doors to the United States

As of May 1, French Polynesia is once again accessible to travelers from the United States.

For the time being, travelers from Europe can go there, but only for compelling reasons, i.e. health, family or work.

Edouard Fritch, President of French Polynesia, specifies that the opening will be gradual and will be accompanied by a sanitary protocol "which will take into account vaccinated and immunized travelers in order to continue to control the sanitary situation of Tahiti Et Ses Îles and protect its population as well as its visitors". He did not give a specific date for the opening, as this will depend on the evolution of the epidemic risk in each country.
