On Monday February 8, Israel and Greece signed a tourist agreement giving their citizens vaccinated against Covid-19 unrestricted access to both countries.
Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis and his Israeli counterpart Benjamin Netanyahu declared: "We must facilitate travel for those who present proof of vaccination, and this is what we intend to do with Israel, which is far ahead in terms of vaccination".
Benjamin Netanyahu wants Israeli citizens to be able to travel to Greece without restrictions or quarantine.
In addition, the head of the Israeli government is planning to introduce the green passport, which will allow holders vaccinated against Covid-19 access to public places. This green passport will be introduced once travel restrictions have been lifted.
