As of today, conventional visa applications will no longer be accepted by the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. International travelers wishing to visit Pakistan will need to submit an electronic visa application at Pakistani government website.
The Pakistani e-visa came into being in 2019 and offers different reasons for visiting: tourism, business, family visit, work, study, journalism, diplomacy, official, humanitarian, religious mission, domestic help, mountaineering/trekking, pilgrimage and Tabligh.
What documents do I need to obtain my e-visa?
Before submitting your e-visa application, you'll need to provide a copy of your passport, a passport photo and a hotel reservation/letter of invitation.
How much does an e-visa cost?
If you are visiting Pakistan as a tourist, you will need to pay 35$ for a single-entry tourist stay valid for 3 months. For a single-entry business trip, the cost of the electronic visa is 100$, valid for 3 months.
