Sri Lanka once again open to international visitors from August 1st!
To achieve this, a few restrictions will have to be applied:
- You can enter the country via these three airports: Bandaranaike in Colombo, Ratmalana in Colombo and Mattala Rajapaksa in Hambantota.
- Travelers must apply for their e-Visa before departure (consular fee: 100US dollars). You will also need to provide a few documents concerning your stay (flight ticket, accommodation reservation, medical insurance and itinerary).
- A PCR test less than 72 hours old must be presented at embarkation. In addition, two or three other PCR tests will need to be carried out on site, depending on your length of stay, which should be included in the visa fee.
- Local travel must be arranged in advance with the travel agent or your certified accommodation, as public transport cannot be used by international travellers.
