Teleworking in Barbados? It's now possible with the new e-Visa

Barbados reopened its borders on July 12. This island, accustomed to making a living from tourism, found itself, like many other countries, in a critical economic situation following the outbreak of the new COVID-19 pandemic.

The government has taken advantage of global containment to develop a new electronic visa. As announced by the island's Prime Minister, Mia Amor Mottley, this E-Visa is intended for foreign tourists, motivated young entrepreneurs, or employees who can carry out their work remotely. The E-Visa is valid for one year.

To attract teleworking employees to its island, the government exempts them from income tax and provides entrepreneurs with office space and open-plan offices. All of which is supported by the paradisiacal setting offered by Barbados. The ideal setting after months of home confinement!

The government assures that the procedure for obtaining this E-Visa will remain as simple as possible. Once approved, single travelers will have to pay 2000$ USD, while families will have to pay 3000$ USD.
