India has announced the launch of an electronic visa system (e-Visa) for Bahraini nationals wishing to travel to India. This news was shared on Thursday, July 10, 2025 by the Indian Ambassador to the small Middle Eastern country, Vinod K. Jacobvia a publication on social networks.

How to apply for an e-Visa for India for Bahrainis?
Bahraini citizens eligible for e-Visa can complete the following steps via the centralized Indian visa website:
- Visit the Official Website : Go to Indian Visa Online at the following address https://indianvisaonline.gov.in/evisa/tvoa.html or use an agency that is familiar with these procedures
- Select nationality : Select 'Bahrainin the nationalities drop-down list.
- Choose the type of visa : Select the appropriate visa service and duration from the available options, which include e-Tourist Visa, e-Business Visa, e-Medical Visa, e-Medical Attendant Visa, e-Conference Visa, e-Ayush Visa, e-Ayush Attendant Visa, e-Student Visa and e-Student Dependant Visa.
- Fill in the online form : Complete the online application form with your personal information, itinerary details, passport details (the first page must be uploaded), a passport-size photo, and upload all the documents required depending on the type of visa.
- Make your payment : Pay visa fees.
- Receive e-Visa : If the application is approved, the applicant will receive an e-Visa at the e-mail address provided when submitting the application. The usual processing time is 3 to 5 working days.
- Travel and get the stamp: Travel to India with a printed copy of your e-Visa. The e-Visa will then be affixed to your passport at the port of entry.
