An electronic travel authorization

The development of new entry procedures in Mauritius should renew entry and exit formalities for all travelers, thereby reducing waiting times and paperwork for visitors and Mauritian nationals.

However, although the announcement has been made, the details and implementation schedule have not yet been disclosed. Entry protocols to Mauritius remain unchanged for the time being. Currently, the majority of foreign arrivals on the island benefit from visa-free entry for short stays; others must apply for a visa in advance or process it upon arrival.

The digital travel form (Mauritius All-in-One Digital Travel Form) already in force, and must be completed before travel in order to obtain a QR code to present to the authorities upon arrival. Failure to complete it before departure means that a paper landing card must be completed. It is advisable to complete the online process, from the official website safemauritius.govmu.org.

As a customer relations officer, my role is to manage and monitor visa applications. I keep abreast of new travel formalities and the specific features of new visas.
