What a pleasure to meet up again, other than by videoconference! Among the 10 great startups presented at the startup contest at the IFTM - Top Résa 2021 trade show in Paris (Porte de Versailles), we pulled out all the stops to finish 3rd on the podium, in the midst of companies with an equally positive and virtuous outlook.
A big well done to all the participants and especially to those who beat us to the podium: WorkPackers and its remote working offer and WeGoGreenr that makes vacations greener. It's a real sign that we've been chosen by a jury of professionals who are convinced that our solution can change travel and provide an answer to all tour operators hard hit by the crisis.
The confidence shown by industry experts validates our profound intuition: technology must be used to remove the obstacles to travel, enabling professionals to concentrate on their core business. Indeed, the figures show that obstacles abound for both individuals and companies. One professional out of two claims to encounter concrete problems when applying for a visa for his or her customer. What's more, half of all professionals experience real difficulties in contacting consulates, a situation compounded by the fact that a quarter of them experience complications when dealing with these foreign administrations. Physical distance also remains a major issue, with a third of travel professionals complaining about the remoteness of consulates from their area of activity.
The enthusiasm generated by our solution during this competition is explained by our ability to respond precisely to these pain points. By automating the invisible and managing document complexity, we're giving oxygen back to an industry that needs it. This third-place finish encourages us to continue our efforts to transform administrative constraints into fluid, transparent formalities. We are convinced that the future of tourism lies in tools capable of erasing administrative boundaries as effectively as our colleagues erase carbon footprints or fixed office constraints.
