E-Visa Cameroun: The application form has been updated on the consular services portal

Update of the e-Visa application form

To travel to Cameroon, your reason for travel must be precise, and it will now be compulsory to provide this information when making your application. It is possible to travel for the following reasons: tourism, business, volunteering, visiting acquaintances, studies, religion. This has an impact on the list of documents to be uploaded when applying for an e-Visa.

Required documents

It is therefore advisable to organize your trip carefully, in order to send the Cameroonian authorities a complete file, with all necessary documents to be provided at the time of application, and adapted to your reason for travel.

Tourist trip/visit to acquaintances/vacation : The documents required to apply for a tourist visa are still valid and have not been updated. Here is the list:

  • Passport, valid for at least 6 months from the date of departure from Cameroon
  • Round-trip flight bookings
  • Yellow fever vaccination record
  • Accommodation certificate or hotel reservation
  • Proof of address of your main residence
  • Birth certificate or extract from the family record book
  • Old visa (optional)

For minors, an authorization to leave the country, signed and accompanied by the identity papers of the legal guardians, may be required. If the parents are traveling with the child, it may be advisable to provide their airline tickets.

Business travel : two documents are now required to apply for a business visa. These are listed below:

  • Passport, valid for at least 6 months from the date of departure from Cameroon
  • Round-trip flight bookings
  • Yellow fever vaccination record
  • Accommodation certificate or hotel reservation
  • Proof of address of your main residence
  • Birth certificate or extract from the family record book
  • Old visa (optional)
  • Invitation letter
  • Proof of purpose of visit. The mission order can be accepted
  • Proof of sufficient means of subsistence (proof of employment, salary slips and recent bank statements showing movements in the last 3 months at least)

Volunteer/study/religious trips : the procedure has not been modified. Here is the list:

  • Passport, valid for at least 6 months from the date of departure from Cameroon
  • Round-trip flight bookings
  • Yellow fever vaccination record
  • Accommodation certificate or hotel reservation
  • Proof of address of your main residence
  • Birth certificate or extract from the family record book
  • Invitation letter
  • Old visa (optional)

Preparing your e-Visa application

The electronic visa application for travel to Cameroon enables travelers to complete the process entirely online. It is no longer necessary to visit a Cameroon embassy to affix the visa to the passport before departure. The pre-registration or e-Visa is sent by email, and remains available from the consular services portalYou will then be able to access your account on the platform.

The processing time for an e-Visa application is approximately 5 working daysWe therefore recommend that you make your request well in advance, as soon as you start planning your trip.
