From July 1, 2025The VFS Global centers in France will cease processing applications for visas, passports, OCI cards and other consular services on behalf of the Embassy of India. The centers will be closed to the public. It will no longer be possible to contact VFS services by telephone or e-mail.

Application management via the Indian Embassy in Paris
The Indian Embassy in Paris will take over direct management of these services from its consular section, located at 20-22 rue Alibรฉric Magnard in the 16แต arrondissement. Access to services is now by appointment onlyvia an online intake system currently under development.
Brief interruption of consular services
The Embassy warns that a short interruption of all consular services is to be expected from July 1, 2025. Users are advised to consult the Embassy website for the latest information on the reopening and how to book an appointment.
Electronic visa procedure
Despite this new feature, the electronic visa system (e-Visa) for India continues to operate normally. Eligible nationals, including French nationals, can still apply for a visa online, without having to visit a physical center or embassy. The scheme covers a range of reasons for staying (tourism, business, medical, Ayurveda conferences). Depending on the type of visa, validity can vary from 30 days to 5 years, and length of stay from 30 to 180 days.
