This measure, valid until August 14, 2028, is part of a broader strategy to open up the country, strengthen economic and cultural exchanges and position Vietnam as a major tourist destination in Southeast Asia. At the same time, the government has introduced specific exemptions for certain categories of strategic visitors, such as researchers and investors, to support the country's socio-economic development. This policy is contributing to strong growth in international tourism, with over 12 million visitors recorded in the first seven months of 2025.
