Forget about embassies, application fees and waiting times: for citizens from 113 countries, Visa exemption is now a new feature of Armenia. Whether you're a tourist, an investor or a digital nomad, this measure applies to a number of travel reasons, provided your nationality is included in the list of exempted nationalities.

Who does this exemption apply to?
Armenia was already practicing a policy of selective openness, but this extension to 113 countries transforms the exception into the norm. The objective is clear: to attract not only tourists, but also digital nomads and investors.
Here are some of the countries that can now benefit from the scheme visa waiver :
๐ช๐บ Europe & Schengen area : All EU nationals, plus Switzerland, Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein.
๐บ๐ธ Americas: United States, Canada, Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay (among others).
๐ Asia & Pacific : Japan, South Korea, Singapore, Australia, New Zealand.
๐ณ๏ธ CIS countries & Neighbors : Russia, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Belarus, etc.
๐ Gulf countries : United Arab Emirates, Qatar.

โน๏ธ Did you know? For EU citizens, entry is even possible with a national identity card and if you arrive by air at Yerevan's Zvartnots international airport. For all nationalities, a passport must be valid at the time of travel.
Visa exemption allows a stay of 180 days a year, Armenia is the ideal destination for a long stay.
Points to watch
Even with a visa waiver, border crossing remains an official procedure. Here are some recommendations from our agency to help you avoid being turned back:
Passport validity : Your passport must be valid for the entire duration of your stay. We always recommend a safety margin of 3 to 6 months after your return date.
Proof of return: Although rarely requested, immigration officers may require proof of a return or onward ticket.
Regional conflicts : If your passport contains Azerbaijani entry stamps, you can enter Armenia without any problems (and vice versa in theory), but expect a few more questions at customs. Just be honest about the tourist purpose of your visit.
Travel insurance : It is not systematically checked at the counter, but is strongly recommended to cover medical expenses.
Not on the list of 113 countries?
If your nationality is not on this exemption list (for example, certain African or South Asian countries), don't panic. Armenia has a E-Visa (Electronic Visa) and we can manage your application for you. Depending on the length of your stay, you can choose between a 21 or 120-day e-Visa. To guarantee your e-Visa, your application must be complete and accompanied by the required documents. Please visit our website: visamundi.co/destinations/armenie/.
