Nationals of 13 countries are now eligible to use the Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) to travel to Canada. These include Morocco, which can now take advantage of this facility to visit the North American country.
The AVE allows visa-exempt travelers to enter Canada by obtaining an electronic authorization linked to their passport. This greatly facilitates the administrative process for those concerned, and strengthens ties between Canada and these countries. Of the 13 nationalities, half are Caribbean neighbors.

Strengthening ties between Morocco and Canada
The addition of Morocco and 12 other nationalities to the list of countries eligible for the AVE is excellent news for relations between these nations and Canada. It will facilitate tourism, economic and cultural exchanges, and make it easier for Moroccan nationals to discover the riches of North America.
This opening comes at a time when Canada is seeking to diversify its international partnerships. This is particularly true of North African countries such as Morocco. The two countries have signed several cooperation agreements in recent years, in fields as varied as education, the economy, security and culture. Expanding the range of nationalities eligible for the AVE is a further step towards strengthening ties between Morocco and Canada.
