From July 12, 2024, Qantas to offer direct flights between Paris and Perththe capital of Western Australia. Qantas is taking advantage of the excitement surrounding the Olympic Games and the growing interest in this popular European destination.
This new route will complement Qantas' other non-stop flights to Europe, including Perth-London Heathrow and Perth-Rome.
First flight scheduled for July 12, 2024
The first flight will depart on July 12, 2024, and will serve Paris Charles de Gaulle airport four times a week. every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday - until the end of the Olympic Games in mid-August 2024, then increasing to three times a week.
As on the Melbourne-Perth-London and Sydney-Perth-Rome routes, flights to Paris will be operated by a Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner configured to seat 236 passengers, including 42 seats in business class, 28 seats in premium economy class and 166 seats in economy class.

The flight between Perth and Paris will cover a distance of 8,863 miles, or around 14,257 kilometers, in 17 hours and 20 minutes westbound and 16 hours 35 minutes eastbound.

Passengers will be able to connect easily from Perth to Qantas' extensive domestic network, which includes over 65 destinations in Australiaincluding Sydney and Melbourne, as well as New Zealand.
A long-awaited return to Paris after a 20-year absence
With this new route, Qantas will serve the French capital for the first time in almost 20 years, reducing the fastest journey time between Paris and Perth by over two hours. Flights to Paris were suspended in 1998 and resumed in 2004, when Qantas entered into a code-share agreement with Air France, which operates daily flights to Paris from Singapore.
