Since May 1, 2023, tourists of 29 nationalities no longer need a visa to travel to Mozambique. This tourist and business visa exemption was announced in March 2023 and came into force on May 1, 2023.

The entry visa waiver allows eligible travellers to make multiple entries into Mozambique for a period of stay of 30 days from the date of first entry. This period may be extended by 30 additional daysAn extension request can be submitted to the Provincial Migration Office in the area of accommodation, subject to payment of an extension fee. To enter Mozambique without a visa, travellers must have a passport or travel document valid for at least 6 months, a return air ticket (except for those arriving by land), and proof of accommodation.
The e-Visa, however introduced at the end of last yearAs a result, these 29 nationalities are no longer involved.
