During the Hajj in Saudi Arabia, e-Visa will not work in Jeddah and Medina

The latestSaudi General Civil Aviation Authority (GACA) specify the conditions of access to visas for Saudi Arabia for the Hajj.

Only the following visa categories may be used for passengers arriving at Djeddah (Jeddah King Abdulaziz International Airport - JED) and Medina (Medina Prince Mohammed Bin Abdulaziz International MED Airport) from June 1 to June 28, 2023 :

  • Visas Hajj (accepted only at these 2 airports)
  • GCC citizens (Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar)
  • Visas forbusiness
  • Visas for medical tourism

During this period, holders of e-Visas, tourist visas, visit visas or Umrah visas will not be allowed to board airlines serving these destinations. No visa will be issued on arrival during this period..

For e-Visa holders, arrival at another eligible airport is still possible until June 28, 2023 and beyond.
