Starting today, a new travel formalities in force for entering Thailand. All travellers arriving by air, land or sea must complete the electronic form (Thailand Digital Arrival Card - TDAC).
This new measure was announced at the beginning of April by the Thai immigration office, with the aim of replace paper form TM6. From now on, you must apply for an electronic arrival card within 72 hours of your arrival in Thailand. The aim of this new procedure is to modernize and streamline your entry procedure, notably by avoiding queues.
Travellers concerned
As of May 01, the TDAC form will apply to all travellers, including residents. To enter the country, you will need to present your electronic arrival card. You may be exempted from this formality if you are :
- Thai national
- Border Pass holder
- Passenger in transit or connecting and you do not pass the Thai immigration services. In case of you, please contact your transport company.
How do I apply?
You can fill in the TDAC form in the 72 hours before entering Thailand. If you're planning to travel in a group, be sure to fill out the application form for each traveler. All you have to do is go to the following official website: https://tdac.immigration.go.th/arrival-card/#/home. A number of personal details are requested, including your passport details and travel arrangements, such as your reason for travel, means of transport and accommodation.

Towards shorter visa-free stays?
