What is the Malaysia Digital Arrival Card ?
There Malaysia Digital Arrival Card (MDAC) is an online form that must be completed by all foreign travelers wishing to visit Malaysia. This initiative aims to improve and digitize immigration services in the country. Travelers will be asked to provide personal information and details of their stay in Malaysia.

Who does MDAC affect?
All foreign nationals, including tourists and business travelers, must complete the MDAC before arriving in Malaysia. However, there are a few exceptions, including permanent residents and long-term visa holders transiting through Singapore.
How do I fill in the Malaysia Digital Arrival Card?
- Step 1: Go to the official website Visit the official MDAC website
- Step 2: Fill in the form Complete the online form with the following information:
- Name
- Date of birth
- Nationality
- Passport number and expiry date
- E-mail address
- Cell phone number
- Arrival and departure dates
- Means of transport (plane, train, etc.)
- Last port of embarkation
The form must be completed within 3 days prior to arrival in Malaysia.
- Step 3: Submit the form After carefully checking all the information you have entered, submit the form. Once submitted, you will receive a confirmation e-mail containing your MDAC.
- Step 4: Present MDAC on arrival When you arrive in Malaysia, simply present the confirmation e-mail to customs officials to prove that you have completed the digital arrival card.

Malaysia eases visa policy to boost tourism
In addition to the MDAC system, Malaysia has also introduced a visa liberalization plan, facilitating access to the country for foreign tourists. This initiative aims to stimulate the national economy, particularly in the tourism and investment sectors.
Nationals of many countries, most recently China and India, are exempt from visa requirements to enter Malaysia, for periods ranging from 14 to 90 days.

e-Visas for foreign travellers
Since 2017, Malaysia has also offered nationals of certain countries the possibility of obtaining a electronic visa (e-Visa). Tourists can apply online and receive a rapid response.
