Botswana's electronic visa application system (e-Visa), which was suspended at the end of April 2025, is once again accessible. International travelers can now submit their visa applications online via the official government portalwithout having to go to an embassy or immigration office.
During the suspension period, applicants encountered difficulties in filing new applications. With the system back online, the Department of Immigration and Citizenship ensures that all functionality is restored and applications can be processed normally.
How do I apply for an e-Visa?
Launched in August 2021, Botswana's e-Visa platform aims to simplify and speed up the visa process. It allows travelers to fill in their forms, upload the required documents and receive their visa electronically, improving the efficiency and convenience of the process. It's all digital!
