Recently, the Egyptian Embassy in Morocco announced a major development concerning entry requirements for Moroccan citizens in Egypt. The Egyptian authorities want to simplify and facilitate travel, notably by easing the visa procedure.
At present, Moroccan nationals can apply for a standard visa at the Egyptian Embassy in Rabat. Visa exemption applies only to children under the age of 14.

It will now be possible for Moroccan nationalsto enter the Arab Republic of Egypt, without first obtaining a visaand if they meet one of the following conditions:
- Residence and residence permit valid in Schengen countries - Australia - New Zealand - Canada - United States - Japan and United Kingdom.
- Valid entry visa previously used on passport for Schengen countries - Australia - New Zealand - Canada - United States - Japan and United Kingdom.
- Hold a valid residence and return permit in the countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council (Saudi Arabia, Oman, Kuwait, Bahrain, United Arab Emirates, Qatar).
Depending on the situation, a visa will be obtained from the various points of entry into Egypt.
