Details of the new visa waiver
Under the new policy, effective from March 14, 2024In addition to the above, nationals of the countries concerned will be able to travel to China without a visa for a maximum period of 15 days. These trips may be for a variety of purposes: business, tourism, family visits or transit. This experimental measure will be applicable until November 30, 2024.

A list that could grow
Wang Yi indicated that China would seek to further extend this list of visa exemptions. He added: "ย We hope that more countries will offer Chinese citizens visa waivers and work with us to build fast-track networks for cross-border travel and encourage the rapid resumption of international passenger flights.ย ".
