In a recent statement, EgyptAir has announced that travellers can now obtain a transit visa free of charge to enter Egypt and stay from 8 to 96 hours.

Travelers can obtain this visa on arrival at Cairo International Airport only, provided they go to the EgyptAir transit office at the airport to fill in a form, after which they can obtain the visa free of charge.

In a separate announcement, the Egyptian Ministry of the Interior announced the introduction of a new 5-year multiple-entry visa system for foreign visitors.
