From October 1, 2025all international travellers arriving in Taiwan will be required to complete a electronic arrival cardwhich will definitively replace the traditional paper form. The aim is to simplify procedures for entering the country and improve the efficiency of border controls. Travellers have already been able to use the electronic version of the card for several months, but this will become compulsory on the planned date..
Last June 17, an official statement has been published by the National Immigration Agency to inform future travelers about the addition of this new procedure for traveling to Taiwan.
Carte d'arrivée électronique / Arrival Card
The electronic arrival card must be completed online within 3 days of arrival in Taiwan. This measure concerns all foreign visitors, whether on business, tourism or for any other reason. The main aim of this transition is to modernizing entry formalitiesreduce the use of paper and facilitate data processing by Taiwanese authorities. To make things easier for families and groups, the system allows one person to pass on arrival information for up to 16 passengers.
The request can be made from the official TWAC portal.

The authorities recommend that travelers ensure they have an Internet connection in order to complete the arrival card before departure or on arrival at the airport. This development is part of a wider policy to digitalize administrative services in Taiwan.
