Hong Kong airport offers free excursions to transit passengers

Hong Kong International Airport launches a new experience for transit passengers for free guided tours Now they can discover the city during a long layover, turning the wait between flights into an unforgettable cultural adventure.

Accessible to all passengers whose correspondence exceeds seven hoursthis unique program is the fruit of a partnership partnership between the Hong Kong Airport Authority and Trip.com. The aim is to make the airport not only an international transit hub, but also a gateway to the diversity and cultural richness of Hong Kong.

Choose your tour

Two themed itineraries are currently on offer:

  • Heritage and Local Lifestyle Citywalk (12pm-4pm): Visit the Wong Tai Sin temple, followed by an immersion in the popular Sham Shui Po district, renowned for its lively markets and authenticity.
  • Victoria & West Kowloon Waterfront Journey (5:30pm-9:30pm): Creative stroll in the heart of West Kowloon's cultural district, followed by a walk along the Avenue of Stars offering a panoramic view of the lights of Victoria Harbour.

Each tour includes transfer to and from the airportthe multilingual guides (English, Mandarin, Cantonese) and all entrance fees. Participants benefit from a fast-track immigration procedure to ensure easy access and timely return to their next flight.

You may be eligible if you meet the following requirements:

  • You are in transit at HKIA airport
  • Your stopover lasts 7 hours or more
  • You meet Hong Kong entry requirements (visa and valid travel document)

How does a free tour work?

1- Online pre-booking or walk-in registration Online booking is available up to 3 months before your scheduled arrival date. Without prior registration, and subject to availability, you can reserve your seat at the service counters as soon as you arrive at the airport.
