When is the best time to travel to Vietnam?
We advise you to travel during the dry season, between November and April. With temperatures between 25ยฐ and 30ยฐ, it's an ideal time to visit and discover all Vietnam has to offer. You can book your stay with a travel agency, which can offer you a guided tour or a tailor-made holiday.
Check the validity of your passport
To travel to Vietnam, you need a passport valid for at least 6 months from the date of arrival in the country.
Which nationalities benefit from visa exemption for stays of less than 15 days?
Many nationalities can stay in Vietnam for up to 15 days without having to apply for a visa. In all, citizens of the following 13 countries benefit from visa exemption: Germany, Belarus, Denmark, Spain, France, Finland, Italy, Japan, Norway, United Kingdom, Russia, Republic of Korea and Sweden. This means that all citizens can enter the country free of charge, and can prove their nationality with a valid ordinary passport.
For other travellers
If your nationality does not qualify for visa waiver, or if you are staying for more than 15 days, a electronic travel authorization must be requested before your departure. Depending on your nationality, this can be done online or at an embassy. To date, 80 nationalities are eligible for e-Visa. If you are a national of another country not eligible for e-Visa, you must apply to the nearest embassy.

When you apply, you'll need to provide the following two documents: passport photo and ID photo. On receipt of your form and documents, our processing time is approximately 5 days. Once issued, the e-Visa must be used within 30 days. You can travel for a number of reasons, including tourism, THE business, THE medical, THE volunteering or for a transit.
