Brunei imposes its E-Arrival Card from February 2023

From February 9, Brunei authorities will require international travelers to present an electronic arrival card (E-Arrival Card) before their arrival in the country.

All foreign nationals are required to register free of charge for an electronic arrival card when entering Brunei via a sea, land or air checkpoint. Transit passengers are exempt from this measure.

The information required to issue the E-Arrival Card is a valid passport, the address of the place of stay in Brunei and flight or vehicle details. The authorities have advised foreigners travelling to Brunei to register early for an E-Arrival Card before their departure date. Travelers can apply for an E-Arrival Card at Department of Immigration and National Registration.

Brunei Darussalam is a country located in East Asia, on the island of Borneo. According to data from the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO), the number of international visitors to Brunei has risen steadily in recent years, from 473,000 in 2015 to over 600,000 in 2018. Tourism remains an underdeveloped sector, despite the government's efforts to promote it. Brunei's main tourist-sending markets are neighboring countries in the Asia-Pacific region, such as Malaysia, Singapore and Indonesia.

Please note that Brunei Darussalam lifted all health restrictions on travel on December 1. Local authorities can be contacted onemail [email protected] or on WhatsApp +6737299550.
