Kuwait has just put its electronic visa system on hold, and without warning. A decision that comes as a surprise to globetrotters accustomed to preparing their trip with a simple click. Gone are the comforts of the online visa, replaced by a retro parenthesis in which the old-fashioned stamp reigns supreme.
A system undergoing maintenance, passengers waiting in anticipation
The Kuwaiti government has decided to turn off the tap on its e-Visa service, leaving future visitors in the dark. Reason given? A system upgrade for enhanced performance. But don't panic! If the gate evisa.moi.gov.kw is sold out, the country's doors are not hermetically sealed.
This digital pause, the duration of which remains a mystery, is designed to boost the performance of a system that was beginning to show signs of fatigue. The aim? To offer travelers a digital experience worthy of the 21st century. But in the meantime, it's back to basics for would-be travelers.
