Rwanda opens up to tourism with new visa regime

Finally, some good news for the tourism sector, whose formalities have been turned upside down in recent weeks with the spread of Covid-19.

Rwanda, nicknamed the "Land of a Thousand Hills", is a country of a thousand hills.East Africa which has one of the most open visa policies on the African continent. In particular, it offers free visas on arrival for citizens of all countries for a period of 30 days (equivalent to a visa exemption). The countries concerned include many members of the African Union, the Organisation Internationale de la Francophonie and the Commonwealth.

Rwanda's new visa regime came into force as soon as it was published. Our aim? To welcome international travelers in the best possible conditions. 87 countries involved by this free 30-day visa on arrival.
