A traveler of Philippine nationality applied for a Schengen visa to visit Italy over the festive season. After an initial refusal, she used an original method to make her application more convincing.
Initially, her tourist visa was refused on the grounds that the authorities did not have proof that the young woman would not remain on European territory at the end of her document's validity date.
Not disillusioned, she replied, enclosing a copy of the (precious) concert tickets booked in her name to see Taylor Swift. in Singapore at the beginning of March, the singer's only stop in Southeast Asia. With tickets averaging 300 USD (284 €) that were gone in a matter of hours, this choice undoubtedly weighed on the immigration officers' minds.
