Thailand extends visa waiver to 45 days

L'Tourism Authority of Thailand unveils its intention to propose an innovative idea to the government. The idea is to extend the visa-free period, currently reduced to 30 days for European citizens. Here are some answers to help you find out more.

The official announcement

The meeting was attended by members of the Centre d'Administration de la Situation COVID-19 and the Thai Prime Minister. The aim was to examine various measures that could help to better manage the country's health crisis. After discussions, it was agreed to extend length of stay of tourists coming to the Kingdom. This was stated by CCSA spokesperson Dr. Taweesin Visanuyothin during his debriefing.

In his view, this decision will boost the economy and increase income from the tourism sector.
