Which countries are concerned?
On the government's K-ETA application portal 22 countries are announced: ย Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Italy, Japan, Macau, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, Taiwan, United Kingdom and United States.
The South Korean immigration authorities insist that this This measure applies to travelers visiting South Korea for tourism, business and events until December 2024.ย
Citizens of these 22 countries can travel to South Korea without needing to present a K-ETA, within the limit of the period of stay determined according to nationality. In other words, all Europeans are authorized to stay a maximum of 90 days in South Korea without a K-ETA.ย
