According to the local authorities, demand for visas to Russia is rising sharply, thanks in part to the growing interest in the country on the part of foreign tourists. By 2023, statistics show an impressive increase in the number of visas issued by Russian diplomatic missions and consulates abroad. What's more, access to the Russian e-Visa should soon be extended to include Egyptian citizens.
According to a Prensa LatinaIn 2023, the number of traditional (paper) visas issued will reach 840 000compared with 510 000 issued in 2022.
Combining paper and electronic visas, the total number exceeds one million, of which 221 000 have been granted to nationals of countries considered hostile to Russia.
Egypt soon to be added to the list of nationalities eligible for Russian e-Visa
Before the end of the current year, theEgypt to be added to the list of Russian e-Visa beneficiariesannounced a spokesman for the Russian Ministry of Economic Development, Nikita Kondratiev. Egypt's candidacy is thus a "priority"for the Russian authorities.
L'Russian e-Visa can be obtained by foreign citizens whose country is on the list approved by Government Order of the Russian Federation No. 2571-r dated October 6, 2020. The application process is carried out online on the dedicated website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation (https://electronic-visa.kdmid.ru) or via a regular visa agency.
L'Unified e-Visa allows entry to Russia and authorizes private, professional or tourist stays, as well as participation in various scientific, cultural, socio-political, economic and sporting events. It is valid for 60 days from the date of issue, and a maximum stay of 16 days from entry into Russia.
They are valid for entry to and exit from Russian territory at most of the country's air, land and sea border crossings.
