European tourists exempt from Mongolian visa requirements until 2026

Until the end of 2025, citizens of the The following 34 countries are visa-free for travel to Mongolia for 30 days for the following reasons tourism only : Australia, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Monaco, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, United Kingdom. And Switzerland.

These countries join 27 countries already visa-free : Argentina, Belarus, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Ecuador, Germany, Hong Kong, Israel, Japan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Laos, Macao, Malaysia, Peru, Philippines, Russia, Serbia, Singapore, South Korea, Thailand, Turkey, Ukraine, United States, Uzbekistan. And Uruguay.

Tourists from these 34 countries no longer need to apply for a visa to travel to Mongolia, either on arrival, at a Mongolian embassy or consulate, or online thanks to the online electronic visa (e-Visa) available since October 2021.

However, people travelling to Mongolia for professional, family, study, internship or humanitarian reasons or for a trip of more than 30 days must always obtain a Mongolian visa at the embassy
